Event Details

Thank you for attending our Action Hour for Democracy! and speaking up for the freedom to vote! It was wonderful to see so many people come together to say “We demand safe and accessible elections for all. Recess can wait; preserving our democracy can’t!” Over 100 people attended, with dozens of letters to the editor written and more than 300 messages sent to our elected officials and other influential figures. Also more that 90% pledged to keep speaking up for voting rights, as well as recruit others to do the same.

A BIG thank you to Spencer Olson, Communications Director for Declaration for American Democracy, for his great insights, messaging, and best practices. His slides are attached.

Also, thank you to all our Co-Hosts!

We’ve included the slides from today’s event, which are attached. The event was recorded, and you can view the recording and review the chat file here:

Now that you’ve shown up for our democracy Action Hour event, we hope you are fired up and ready to continue working! We must keep the pressure on if we are going to convince Congress to pass this essential voting rights legislation -- and the next week is crucial!
